Description & Care
The BM1-9 is a modified smock made of a 100% cotton high-density Japanese canvas with an exposed zipper at the front. The oversized fit with dropped shoulders features a hood, large patch pockets, side seam pockets and two large inner pockets. Hem, sleeves, and hood can be adjusted with a specially designed tape construction inspired by vintage US Navy smocks. These cotton ‘salvage parkas’ were used as single-use protective garments and therefore had cloth strings for fastening as opposed to metal hardware. Special edition in hand-dyed black, customised at the APPLIED ART FORMS studio in Amsterdam. Made in Japan.
